Subject Verb Agreement

Assalamualaikum, ha this time I was given the task by Miss Dini because Miss Dini was not present so we asked to resume. So this time I will share the results of my resume on the Subject Verb Agreement. Before regarding entering into the matter I will introduce the subject and verb. Subject what is about what or who is spoken in a sentence. The subject can be a person, animal , object, or an abstract concept. Verb is a word to indicate the subject of the action.

Action Verb
Action verbs are verbs to express that the subject was doing an action or to declare that something happened. Action verbs are words that express action (give, eat, walk, etc.) or possession (have, own, etc.) . Action verbs can be either transitive (with object) or intransitive (without object).
Example: 1. John runs through this street2. John Appears handsome

Linking Verbs
Is a verb that connects the subject with information or description of the subject (subject complement - in the form of a noun, adjective, or adverb) .to Be: is, am, are, was, were
Example: - Rika is in love with Blake.- We were there! - I am happy :)
Verb: seem, Appear, Become, grow, Werner, get, Prove, turn, look, sound, smell, taste, feel.Example: - She looks pale.- She looked for the coin.- That sounds great! - Your cook smells good.

Helping Verbs
The next category of verbs is helping verbs. Also called auxiliary verbs, helping verbshelp show the main verb tense or possibility.
Helping verbs play verbs = verb phrases. The main verb is always the last verb in the phrase.
to be: am, is, are, was, were, be, being, been.
Example: 1. Tejo is (helping verb) going (main verb) to Florida.2. The trip MIGHT (helping verb) be (main verb) dangerous.3. Tanya could learn to fly helicopters. (Could helps the main verb, learn.) 4. Janine will drive to Idaho tomorrow. (Will helps the main verb, drive.)

Main Rule of "Subject Verb Agreement"

RULE 1
Subjects and verbs must agree in number. This is the cornerstone of the rule that forms the background of the concept.
Example : - The dog growls when it is angry.- The dogs growl when they are angry.

RULE 2
Do not get confused by the words that come between the subject and verb; theydo not Affect agreement.
Example : -The Dog, who is chewing on my jeans, is usually very good.

RULE 3
Prepositional phrases between the subject and verb usually do not Affectagreement.
Example : -The Colors of the rainbow are beautiful.

RULE 4
When sentences start with "there" or "here," the subject will always be placedafter the verb, so care needs to be taken to identify it Correctly.
Example : -there Is a problem with the balance sheet. Here are the papers you requested.

RULE 5
If two subjects are joined by and, they typically require a plural verb form.
Example : -The Cow and the pig are jumping over the moon.

RULE 6
The verb is singular if the two subjects separated by and refer to the sameperson or thing.
Example : -Red Beans and rice is my mom's favorite dish.

RULE 7
If one of the words each, every, or no comes before the subject, the verb isSingular.examples: -No Smoking or drinking is allowed.

RULE 8
If the subjects are both singular and are connected by the words or, nor, Neither / nor, either / or, and not only / but Also the verb is singular.

RULE 9
The only time when the object of the preposition decides plural or singular verb forms is when the noun and pronoun subjects, like some, half, none, more, all, etc. are Followed by a prepositional phrase. In These sentences, the object of the preposition determines the form of the verb.
Example : -All Of the chicken is gone.-All Of the chickens are gone.

RULE 10
The singular verb form is usually used for units of measurement or time.
Example : -Four Quarts of oil was required to get the car running.

Example : -Standing In the water was a bad idea.-swimming In the ocean and playing drums are my hobbies.

RULE 17
Collective nouns like family, committee, herd, senate, class, crowd, etc. usually take a singular verb form.

My Favorite Selfie

Assalamuailaikum. Before discussing the assignment, I would like to share a little about my own problems as a new blogger, namely about sentence opening. Honestly yes as a new blogger, started the opening sentence in the blog was indeed difficult. Already wrote a little, removed. I am writing again, deleted again. Just continue ... until avatar moved to Konoha wkwk. This is the thing that makes writing is not finished-finished and end  can not got a scores :(
But here I want straight to the point right. I am most tired of, if any blogwalking, then find the opening sentences in the blog that mainstream,  stale, out of date, monotonous or whatever it's called.

For example like this: Hello how are you? Hopefully healthy is always yes. Well, finally I can blog again.

Honestly I had actually thought about using those words, but I was saved by the guidance of Allah SWT hehe... kidding.

Alright better me directly to discuss the tasks assigned by my teacher just because it was entering the final day hehe.

As its title suggests, here I will post a photo selfie I like. Selfie? Perhaps familiar among today's young people, not only young people even adults often do this. Either it alone, with friends, family, boyfriend/girlfriend or anyone else. Okay, then this is one of my favorite selfie photo.

The reason I like this photo because the photo was taken during my high school farewell. Perhaps because high school is the most beautiful school years (words people anyway haha) so it should be immortalized in a photograph, so that later I can remember the events that I experienced while in high school. Neither is it about the events experienced with friends, friend, girlfriend, teacher or even silly things were done alone. Although there should be a separation but at least I've felt the joy together with my friends. And sometimes I also had thought about for a return to those days, but alas I can not play time. Maybe that's the reason why I like this photo. Up here before my writing today, because I already sleepy and later I also want to watch the football match :D

Thanks for reading things that no benefit her from me haha.

See you later :)

My first post titled "Your reason Choosing your major study at Untan"

My name is Wahyu Ardhy i was born in Pontianak City 10 September 1998. I finished my school in SMA N 10 Pontianak, and I continued my education at the Tanjungpura University. On this occasion I will share why I chose Tanjungpura university as a place to study after high school level. The first because Tanjungpura university is one of the best public university in the city of Pontianak. Therefore, I chose to go to college this country. The latter may take into consideration the alumni association could be a further consideration. Although the alumni association are present in almost all colleges. However, generally the alumni association at public universities is larger and wider network so that it can be of much help. The alumni association can help of course if we are diligent in contact with them and constantly updated information. One of them is the engineering faculty, the faculty have been my choice. Hearing the stories of the people that the technical school has a strong alumni association like family, this is what makes me want to be a part of them. And I'm sure will get my bachelor's degree in this place. Maybe enough to reach here a discussion of the reasons I chose Tanjungpura University.

Thank you for visiting :)
